Forget “Bulk” – Let’s Talk About Aesthetics.
I used to think that “fitness” just meant getting as big as possible. But after losing 56kg, I realized something: Being big isn’t the same as looking good.
If you’re reading this, you probably don’t want to look like a pro bodybuilder who can’t even scratch his own back. You want the “Model” look. The kind of physique that looks sharp in a t-shirt, powerful on the football pitch, and aesthetic at the beach.
That’s what I’m about. And if I can go from 140kg to where I am today, trust me—you can do this too.
1. Stop Chasing Numbers, Start Chasing Proportions
Most guys in the gym are obsessed with how much they bench. I stopped caring about that. Now, I care about symmetry.
- The “V” Shape: If your shoulders aren’t wider than your waist, you won’t look aesthetic. I stopped doing a million chest presses and started spamming Lateral Raises. It’s boring, but it’s the only way to get those “capped” shoulders.
- The Upper Chest Gap: Look at your chest in the mirror. Is it flat at the top? Most Indian guys have this issue. Move your bench to an incline. Every. Single. Time.
2. Lessons from 189cm (The Tall Guy Struggle)
At 6’2″, we have a lot of “space” to fill. A 5kg muscle gain on a short guy looks huge. On us? It looks like nothing.
- My Advice: Don’t get discouraged. It takes us longer to “look” buff, but once we fill out that frame, we look like superheroes. Stick to the plan even when you don’t see changes every week.
3. Real Talk: The “Ghar ka Khana” Diet
You’ll see influencers telling you to eat salmon and avocado. Let’s be real—most of us are eating Roti, Dal, and Sabzi.
- I built my body on Soya chunks, Paneer, and Dahi.
- The secret isn’t fancy food; it’s Protein Consistency. If you aren’t hitting your protein, you’re just moving weights around for fun.
My “Aesthetic” Rulebook (What I actually do):
- Prioritize Sleep: Muscle grows while you sleep, not while you’re lifting.
- Walk More: I don’t do crazy cardio. I just make sure I’m moving. It keeps the waist tight without burning out my legs.
- Don’t Be a Robot: If you want to have a pizza with friends on Sunday, do it. Just make sure you’re back on the grind Monday morning.
